Maybe he had something from a man and something from a woman. That times it was not so much accepted by the most people. Some people think that he had a sort sickness as reason that he looked like that. His wife Nefertiti was very charming and beautiful and he loved her a lot.
Akhenaten was a visionary and revolutionary person and was born with the name Amenhotep the fourth.
He changed his name to Akhen-aten to reflect his belief in Aten as a monotheistic god, rejecting the polytheistic tradition of his country.
This Pharao was also an artist, who broke from the art forms of the past, creating stylized sculptures and paintings.
Nefertiti became very powerful as a queen and was the princess of the Aton cult. When her husband became a bit sick she took over the whole thing.
On the picture here you see the daughter of Akhenaten.
The Armana period had last two decades only; in the end of that time Nefertiti was dead or gone. It was a enormous change for the people in Egypt to become monotheistic and obey the sungod, like Nefertiti and Akhenaten did, and some of the upper class were really angry with Akhenaten. When Tutankhamun (the son of Akhenaten and his wife) became Pharao, at least everything changed and the people became polytheistisch again for the most part!
More about Akhenaten
Akhenaten, meaning “Effective for Aten”, known before the fifth year of his reign as Amenhotep IV (sometimes given its Greek form, Amenophis IV, (meaning Amun is Satisfied), was a pharaoh of the Eighteenth dynasty of Egypt who ruled for 17 years and died perhaps in 1336 BC or 1334 BC.
He is especially noted for abandoning traditional Egyptian polytheism and introducing worship centered on the Aten, which is sometimes described as monotheistic or henotheistic.
An early inscription likens the Aten to the sun as compared to stars, and later official language avoids calling the Aten a god, giving the solar deity a status above mere gods.
Akhenaten tried to bring about a departure from traditional religion, yet in the end it would not be accepted.
After his death, traditional religious practice was gradually restored, and when some dozen years later rulers without clear rights of succession from the Eighteenth Dynasty founded a new dynasty, they discredited Akhenaten and his immediate successors, referring to Akhenaten himself as “the enemy” or “that criminal” in archival records.
He was all but lost from history until the discovery, in the 19th century, of Amarna, the site of Akhetaten, the city he built for the Aten. Early excavations at Amarna by Flinders Petrie sparked interest in the enigmatic pharaoh, whose tomb was unearthed in 1907 in a dig led by Edward R. Ayrton.
Interest in Akhenaten increased with the discovery in the Valley of the Kings, at Luxor, of the tomb of King Tutankhamun, who has been proved to be Akhenaten’s son according to DNA testing in 2010. A mummy found in KV55 in 1907 has been identified as that of Akhenaten.
Akhenaten and Tutankhamun are related without question, but the identification of the KV55 mummy as Akhenaten has been questioned.
Modern interest in Akhenaten and his queen, Nefertiti, comes partly from his connection with Tutankhamun, partly from the unique style and high quality of the pictorial arts he patronized, and partly from ongoing interest in the religion he attempted to establish.
Idol (Amun and Aten) The City of Light (Akhtaten). The hymns of Amarna mourn the death of Akhenaten and a reference to his grave. The emblem of the virtuous city. The City of Light (Horizon of Akhenaten ). He’s not heretic. Hieroglyphics referred to the idol Amun in three important forms as a major idol. Also referred to Aten as part of Amun Re – “The hymn of God Amun Re by building his eleventh ‘sanctuary’ (City of Light). There’s no decoy!
If we have heard the saying that Egypt is the gift of the Nile, okay. But there is more than that. I assure you that Egypt is not the real name, and it is a name that is derived through the ages and it is not a Greek name. Did you know that the origin of all human beings is that white complexion and that Egypt is the land from which all mankind came? The land from which emerged the eleven (Ozirion) to cross the earth.
In all African countries they deal with the same pattern of skin tones and all countries of the world have gradations in skin color, including Africa, when we look at sculptures and paintings. On the walls of temples or cemeteries, we find that the character of the temporal factor extinguishes its effect on those, for example: (there were some gods that were colored red or blue and others became with the passage of time dark red to brown. There were human beings whose skin color was red Yellow or blue).
Jesus is a white skinned man, and he is a source of religion in many countries of the world. “Why did we not say that Jesus is a black man”. The reality of the areas on the surface of the earth imposed the formation of human colors (because the human race is one). Color gainers are cells that sense light, the Creator’s made and gived us for to be a dynamic wall that works to protect humans from the penetrations of many types of harmful rays, control the degrees of skin color, protect humans from many diseases Including cancer, the ancients cured that disease and triumphed over it.
For example, Egypt is divided into north and south, in the north most of the white-skinned population lives, and in the middle of Egypt there is a dark complexion (black complexion) until we reach the skin to the south, we will find the skin color takes a black color and becomes dark skinned.
I was born in the capital, and I carry a brown-white color, and in contrast, my relatives who live in Luxor have dark brown to black complexions colors. However, I will tell you a secret, the original Egyptians of that civilization have different genes from the rest of humanity, and in my latest research I will publish soon, that their original number does not exceed 15 million. Ancient Egypt invented a primitive device to analyze blood (in ancient Egypt did not enter the army or occupies a leadership position) (unless they were undergoing tests).
The bad guys of the world, who have been trying to spread this for nearly a decade, want to overthrow humanity in grand schemes, if we want to pursue this, then closely review the identity of the book authors and the intellectual tendencies that drove money to create two types of intellectual disputes and doubts about the origins of humanity
(Do know the same of those who said decades ago that the first human was (the monkey) that emerged from the African continent (the theory of evolution?).! I do not think so. The ancients proved the opposite on the walls of temples and papyri, not in Egypt alone, but in many civilizations.who’s want Knowledge.
On June 4 2015, the American Journal of Human Genetics published a scientific paper entitled: The Egyptians In All Of Us, meaning: The Egyptians are in us all! This research was carried out by geneticist Mark Jobling in Leicester, England, Thomas Kivisild in Cambridge, England, and Luke Bagame, a geneticist in Cambridge as well, noting that Thomas Kefe will give birth to anthropology or biological origin of man.
This research was based on 225 samples of the blood of Egyptians and Ethiopians, and the goal of the research is: ‘ did the African human spread to Asia and Europe fifty-five thousand years ago, from Egypt to Bab al-Mandab and from that to the Arabian Peninsula and then to the rest of the world?’
Or from Egypt to the Sinaï Peninsula and from there to the rest of the world? The result of these three scholars research was that the Egyptian genes are not only within the Egyptians, but within the Europeans and Asians, and they announce to the whole world. The Egyptian gene is In All Of Us, meaning: the Egyptians are in us all
Amun, at this time, was associated with protecting the king but, largely, was simply a local fertility god paired with his consort Amaunet as part of the Ogdoad, eight gods who represented the primordial elements of creation.
Egyptian Mythology has the most interesting Gods of the ancient world, including Ra, Amun, Osiris, Isis, Horus, Seth, Anubis, Thoth, Ptah, Sekhmet, Bastet, Hathor and Neith. Starting with the creation of the world, we will witness the birth of the Gods and their epic power struggle to become the Pharaoh of Egypt.
At the beginning of time, there was only Nu, the primeval waters of chaos. Then, in a great flood, the sun god Atum rose from the water and willed himself into creation. Atum then created Air, a son he named Shu, and moisture, a daughter he named Tefnut.
They were the first divine pair and soon had children of their own, the Earth named Geb, and the Sky called Nut. This second divine pair then had four children of their own, Osiris, Isis, Seth and Nephthys, completing the group of nine primeval Gods known as the Ennead, consisting of Atum and his eight descendants.
Thoth was a great magician who knew “all that is hidden under the heavenly vault”. He used his knowledge to help Isis after the murder of her husband Osiris by his brother Set. With the help of Anubis he created the first mummification ritual and helped resurrect Osiris (albeit in the land of the Dead). He also protected the son of Isis, Horus, by driving a magical poison from his body when he was very young and supported him in his fight to gain the throne which was rightfully his.
Many of the Egyptian’s religious and civil rituals were organised according to a lunar calendar. As Thoth was associated with writing and with the moon it is perhaps unsurprising that he was also linked to the creation of the calendar. As his association with the moon waned, he developed into a god of wisdom, magic and the measurement of time.
Similarly he was considered to measure and record time. He was known by the epithets; “the One who Made Calculations Concerning the Heavens, the Stars and the Earth”, “the Reckoner of Time and of Seasons” and “the one who Measured out the Heavens and Planned the Earth”.
Toth is the Egyptian god of writing, magic, wisdom, and the moon. He was one of the most important gods of ancient Egypt alternately said to be self-created or born of the seed of Horus from the forehead of Set.
As the son of these two deities, who represented order and chaos respectively, he was also the god of equilibrium and balance and associated closely with both the principle of ma’at (divine balance) and the goddess Ma’at who personified this principle (and who was sometimes seen as his wife). Another of his consorts was the goddess Nehemetawy (‘She Who Embraces Those In Need”) a protector goddess. In his form as A’an,
Thoth was thought to be the inventor of the 365-day calendar (which replaced the inaccurate 360 day calendar). According to myth, he earned the extra days by gambling with the moon (Iabet or Khonsu) in a game of dice to help the goddess Nut. She was pregnant by her brother / husband Geb, but Ra forbade her to give birth on any day of the Egyptian calendar.
Thoth won a portion of light from the moon (1/72) which equated to five new days, and Nut gave birth to her five children on those days (Osiris, Horus the Elder, Set, Isis, and Nephthys). Thoth was also known as a good counsellor and persuasive speaker.
In one version of an ancient myth Thoth and Shu were sent by Ra to persuade the “eye of Ra” (in this version usually in the form of Tefnut) to come home when she left Egypt for Nubia. According to the myth, all of the precious water left Egypt with her causing the land to become parched and dry.
Meanwhile she was rampaging around Nubia killing animals and humans and drinking their blood. Thoth and Shu disguised themselves as baboons (an animal sacred to Thoth) and began their search for the wayward goddess.
When they found her she refused to come home because she was perfectly happy where she was. Thoth told her that Egypt missed her terribly and that the whole land was suffering in her absence, and he promised her great processions and celebrations if she would come home.
Eventually she agreed, won round by his extravagant tales and the three returned to Egypt accompanied by Nubian musicians, dancers, and baboons. They travelled up the Nile from city to city, bringing back the water, and there was much rejoicing.
Written around 36,000 B.C. by Thoth, an Atlantean priest-king, this manuscript dates far back beyond reach of any Egyptian writings ever found. The author, Thoth, a Master-Teacher of the early Egyptians, put this treatise to writing in his native Atlantean language and Dr. Doreal, was given the directive to retrieve these Tablets and translate them into English for the edification of modern man.
The powerful and rhythmic verse of Thoth is wonderfully retained in Doreal’s translation. Contained within the pages of Thoth’s masterpiece of Spiritual and Occult Wisdom is the synthesis of the Ancient Wisdom Teachings, the guideline for initiates of all ages, revealing the Knowledge and Wisdom hitherto held secret, but now in this New Age, revealed to all Seekers on the Path of Light.
Hermes (Greek: Ἑρμῆς) is an Olympian god in Greek religion and mythology, son of Zeus and the Pleiad Maia. He is second youngest of the Olympian gods. Hermes is a god of transitions and boundaries. He is quick and cunning, and moves freely between the worlds of the mortal and divine, as emissary and messenger of the gods, intercessor between mortals and the divine, and conductor of souls into the afterlife.
He is protector and patron of travelers, herdsmen, thieves, orators and wit, literature and poets, athletics and sports, invention and trade. In some myths he is a trickster, and outwits other gods for his own satisfaction or the sake of humankind.
His attributes and symbols include the herma, the rooster and the tortoise, purse or pouch, winged sandals, winged cap, and his main symbol is the herald’s staff, the Greek kerykeion or Latin caduceus which consisted of two snakes wrapped around a winged staff.
